Therapeutic Yoga and Safe Adjustments

Being back in Yoga Teacher Training mode with the 300hours @kaya_yoga_therapy training just starting and then the @zazyoga 200hours coming up in Feb 8 - 29 , it has really highlighted just how important Safe Adjustments are. ⁣

An intensive Yoga Teacher Training is more often than not the first time students are adjusting bodies in and out of yoga postures. With the stigma around injuries and trauma, most don’t feel confident to enter someone else’s space and touch a body that is not there own. ⁣

Yet I see such a need for this. To be shown with hands on adjustments how a posture can be enhanced or deepened or corrected, improves our practice, increases our trust in our teachers and also offers the much needed healing touches we are so desperately craving.

It lights me up when students are open to receive adjustments as well as build confidence in a hands on way working with others’ bodies. This is a strong focus in all our trainings, and is essential in becoming a well rounded teacher.⁣

As Yoga Teachers we have this amazing gift to help people move deeper through their mind, body and spiritual practice. Working with @Kaya_yoga_therapy over the last couple years I have seen how this training has transformed peoples personal practice as well as equip them with a tool kit to convert the lives of so many with yoga therapeutics. ⁣

As we welcome a new group to dive deeper in to yoga therapeutics I feel we are all here for the same purpose, to heal our bodies, calm our minds and to be of service. ⁣
